From Picton To Kenepuru Sound by Water taxi: We do not have a water taxi of our own in the Queen Charlotte Sound but can book you with either of two water taxi companies that operate out of Picton. They will take you across the Queen Charlotte Sound, were you will be met by Pete with our van (Licensed Passenger Service), brought over the hill, & then by our water taxi to your destination within Kenepuru Sound.

Cougar Line Water Taxi run to a schedule & Arrow Water Taxi are booked ‘on demand’ and are great for groups of 3 or more.

PLEASE NOTE** Anyone walking the Queen Charlotte Track and having a ‘Track Pass’ for transporting their bags, need to contact us to arrange pickup of your bags, as the cost from the Queen Charlotte Sound to Kenepuru Sound is not covered in your pass.

Drive to Te Maiha: It’s only 45 - 50 minutes driving from Havelock or 60 minutes from Picton. There is parking by the wharf. (click here for directions to Te Mahia) Please note that most car navigation systems over estimate the driving times on this route.

Queen Charlotte Sound: As we are based in Kenepuru Sound (see map) we are unable to offer services in the Queen Charlotte Sound. If you require a water taxi to destinations only within the Queen Charlotte Sound, you will need to contact one of the Picton water taxi companies. There are several and they offer different options.

Our Payment and Cancellation Policy:
A Deposit is required to confirm a booking.

CANCELLATION POLICY: More than 24 hours - no charge. Between 24 hours & 12 hours - 50% charge; Less than 12 hours - 100% charge.

If you are going to be later or earlier than your arranged times, please contact us at least 1 hour before to re-arrange times.
We can not be held responsible for changes in weather conditions or mechanical failures and reserve the right to cancel a trip if we deem it unsafe, we put your safety and our safety first. We will do our best to get you to your destination as soon as we can organise an alternative/suitable time.
